Giving back.
Besides music Olin has found his second calling, rescue horses. Growing up, he had always been around horses and enjoyed riding and training them; however, when he made the move to Tennessee, his horses had to stay behind. After three years of not working or training them, he knew he had find a way back in. That is when he met Carissa and the great people at Freedom Reigns Ranch. He found himself caring for the small herd at FRR and wanted to do more. Freedom Reigns Ranch is a youth mentorship barn that also fosters rescue horses. Olin’s first interaction with FRR’s rescues was with a horse named Joseph. Joe’s story is a difficult one. He was rescued form a sale barn that was going to sell him to slaughter. Joe was extremely underweight and had been abused and neglected, but he was a fighter. FRR purchased him for very little and brought him to his new home where they cared for him and nursed him back to health. After taking care of Joe and working with more of the herd, Olin new he had found a second calling. After helping all the rescues at FRR, Olin adopted his own, a 14 year old named Jeremy. Olin plans to use his music career to help rescues and ranches all across the country just like Freedom Reigns Ranch and Hickory Hill.
